Coming Next to the CE App

With the A Course in Miracles CE app available for use on a desktop (https://acimce.app) and via the Apple App Store  and Google Play, we are turning our attention to the next phase of the project. In this update, I’ll tell you what’s coming next, and why we’ve made a change to our list of priorities. 

A while ago, we shared the four top priorities for ongoing development. These were (1) launching on the app stores, (2) search engine optimization, (3) desktop improvements, and (4) the workbook practice module. The first of these is complete, and it was more efficient to complete many of the desktop improvements while preparing the app for large mobile devices/tablets, so the third item is almost complete too. This should mean that search engine optimization (SEO) is next on our agenda. 

If you don’t know much about SEO, put simply, it is important because it increases visibility and reach of a website or app. Also, it’s accumulative. This means the sooner we work on SEO, the better the results will be over time. However, we are frequently asked about Workbook practice reminders, and many students tell us they are not satisfied with the reminders that are available in other ACIM apps. They tell us they want reminders that actually reflect what the Course is asking them to do throughout the 365 days of practice. That’s not available right now. With this in mind, we have decided to start work on the Workbook reminders next. This means the app can become a real practice partner for those who are following the Workbook. 

We have a list of things the app will need to do, as well as some great new content to support Workbook practice, and we are really looking forward to working out all the finer details. Some of the groundwork for this has already been done, but there is a lot more to work out. Peter and I are already working on it and hope the new module will be completed, tested, and launched in time for the new year. I will, of course, keep you updated.
