It’s been another busy month for the ACIM CE App project, with the latest changes now in the final beta testing phase, as we prepare to launch in the app stores.
The forthcoming update will include various improvements, as well as some new features. Here are some of the things you can expect to see when it’s on general release:
We are also testing out a new AI-powered ‘semantic search’. This allows artificial intelligence to help you search for meaning rather than keywords. For example, you can search for “eating food” and the results may not include either of those words, but will have a similar meaning.
Additionally, if English isn’t your first language you can type your search criteria in your own language to find relevant parts of the Course.
We are not sure whether the semantic search will make it to the public release, partly because it has cost implications and we would like to keep the app free to use, but if you’d like to try this and the other new features, you are welcome to join our team of testers. Details are below.
The attached screenshots are from my phone and show some of the new things we are testing. Note that you can have as many - or few - highlighters as you like. (According to Peter I have “an excessive amount." He clearly hasn't seen my hardback edition!!)
If you’d like to take part in the final stage of testing, please email Peter including the following information:
Once the testing is complete, and all final updates have been made we hope to launch on the Apple App store and Google Play store before the end of July. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date when we do.
In the meantime, if you would like to support our ongoing development and maintenance, donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
With love and thanks from all at the Circle,
Sarah Knight
