It’s been another busy month for us in the App team and we are pleased to share some of the latest progress with you, but first we have to thank everyone who voted in last month’s poll about the preferred icon. The most popular choice, with 56% of the votes, was the Circle of Atonement logo, which will now also be adopted as the official ACIM CE App icon.
If you read our previous update, you’ll know that Peter has been spending the majority of his time developing the back-end of the app and continues to make great progress. All three volumes of A Course in Miracles have been formatted in a way that allows for advanced searching capabilities we hope will be helpful in your studies as well as making it really easy to navigate the app. As you can see in his short video, Pete has also been working on the way that the app handles text selection, highlighting, and quick searches.
Designer Will is working with Peter to fine-tune the design of the user interface which includes the in-app icons, home page content, and ways to make the app more intuitive and easy to use.
Meanwhile, I am helping prepare the audiobook elements for inclusion in the app. The first stage is to get the Workbook audio ready and I’m currently in the midst of listening to all 365 lessons, to note any errors that need correcting, or editing changes that are required. During March, Robert and Emily will go back into the recording studio to make those changes. It’s so exciting to see all of the different elements coming together and to know that this app will soon be a reality in the hands of Course students around the world.
We will be back with another update next month but if you would like to support our work in the meantime, please consider making a donation. This project wouldn’t be possible without your help and support, and for that we are so thankful.
With love,
Sarah Knight
