Almost Ready for Beta Testing!

We are delighted to bring you an update on our A Course in Miracles CE App, and can tell you that our beta version will soon be ready for testing by a larger group! Read on to learn more about how you can be involved in the testing process. 

Let's start with a brief recap for anyone who is new to the project, or hasn’t read an update in a while. 

Peter and I have been working on the ACIM CE mobile app since early in 2022. The first release will have two main functions: 

• Reading: Having the entire Complete & Annotated Edition of A Course in Miracles (“the CE”) available via a mobile app which will work on both Apple and Android operating systems
• Searching: The ability to search all volumes of the Course, and the material which is exclusive to the CE, in a way that will facilitate further study and understanding of the Course

 A third function - a Workbook practice module - will follow in a later release, along with additional audio elements. In this short video, you can see a few of the new things Peter has been working on recently.

Peter is a Course student and this has been hugely beneficial in his understanding of how the app should work and which functionality will be the most useful to fellow students. The beta version of the app has even more helpful features than we had originally planned, and staff and Board members who have been trying it out have been amazed by the speed and effectiveness of the search options, as well as the convenience of having the three volumes of the Course, plus all of footnotes and cameo essays, on their mobile device. 

In-house testing has uncovered a few bugs which need to be fixed and there are a few design decisions still to be made to get the app ready for you. When they are complete we will be in a position to extend the testing to a wider group and will be reaching out to all those who have been following this project and made a donation so far. If everything goes to plan, this will happen in July.
